A discreet passion. The Paolo Galli Collection celebrates the entry of over 200 sheets by Italian Masters from the 16th to the 20th century into the Collection of the Cabinet of Drawings and Prints of the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia, which acquires with them an inestimable heritage for its richness and variety. The works of famous Venetian Masters of the 18th century, such as Tiepolo father and son, Piazzetta, Guardi, Diziani, Fontebasso, are joined by those of Italian painters of the Bolognese, Roman and Florentine schools, such as Carracci, Cavalier d’Arpino, Figino, Vasari, and those of great 20th century artists, such as Zoran Music, Giò Pomodoro, Cadorin, Cagli, Mafai, Severini, Sironi, Vedova. The exhibition at Ca’ Rezzonico is a journey to discover the secret world that lies behind the creative moment of every artist, and tells centuries of history and stories through a great variety of techniques and styles capable of debunking the most traditional clichés about graphics in their chorality pervaded by a common subtle charm.
