The exhibition curated by Živa Kraus at the historic IKONA gallery in Campo del Ghetto Nuovo is a tribute to photography itself and to personal and collective memory. All the photographs on display carry with them a piece of history that ties them to Venice, since they have been exhibited in the important exhibitions curated by Ikona in town from 1979 to today. The shots found and reunited in the present show us fragments of what has been, authors, places, people, stories described are traces of an evanescent past that lives again through the gaze of the visitor in the attempt to decipher them.
