The solo exhibition of Chinese artist Liao Wen entitled By devouring it, I learn about the world and curated by Manuela Lietti for Capsule Venice interacts with the spaces of the piano nobile of the Fondazione Marchesani through site-specific works that together constitute a sort of total work of art. With his works Liao Wen investigates the relationship between body, ritual, myth and collective imagination, overturning aesthetic and ethical socio-cultural paradigms linked to the sense of disgust, shame and abjection thanks to an exploration that transfigures their understanding, allowing us to glimpse in them the latent and germinal stage of a new feeling. As part of its autumn program Capsule Venice also hosts two special projects, Vista by the German artist Mevlana Lipp in Project Room 1 and Real Time by the Italian artist Alessio de Girolamo in Project Rooms 2 and 3.
